Capstone Volunteer Program
Capstone believes that time should always be made to support and give back to the communities around us. We actively support and empower employees to engage in volunteerism and build those special relationships in the causes they believe in. Fun fact! In 2019, our employees volunteered more than 650+ hours in their communities!
Capstone also has established a scholarship program to assist students who live or reside in Minnesota who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs— Capstone Community Scholarship Program —in partnership with Scholarship America.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging
We are committed to diversity and promoting equity. Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Board (DEI&B) acts on behalf of the company to lead and manage all DEI&B initiatives. The board has brought guests from a wide range of knowledge and experiences to speak at our town hall meetings, increased Capstone’s presence in community events, audited past products to make sure they meet our current standards of inclusivity, implemented company wide diversity and inclusion training, and more. Capstone is committed to continue integrating DEI&B initiatives through our operations, strategies, products, business objectives, and culture. Learn more by visiting out DEI&B page here.
Health and well-being
The health and well-being of Capstone employees is important to us. That is why we offer our Better U program, a resource for health and wellness through educational opportunities, wellness activities, and self-betterment. Through this, we hope to establish a culture that promotes health: physical, mental, emotional, and financial. From yoga classes over lunch, chair massages, and blood drives through the American Red Cross, Capstone offers a variety of health and wellness activities on-site and off-site to keep our employees happy and healthy!
A commitment to sustainability
The goal of Capstone’s sustainability initiative is to make sustainable decisions that will benefit both the environment and our business.
- 32% of our printed books used paper that was Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified
- The largest printer of Capstone books is less than two miles from the Distribution Center, decreasing fossil fuels used
We are always looking ahead to improve and commit to practices that promote responsible stewardship of the environment.
